Welcome
Thank you for viewing my website. I have been inspired by the photography of Ansel Adams’ from the first time I saw it in an old National Geographic magazine. His high contrast black and white pictures captivated my imagination. Years later I have attempted to emulate some of Ansel Adams’ aesthetic into my own artwork. Not having a colorful palette, I had to focus on the ‘soul’ of each piece, not just it’s ‘appearance’. Using only gradients of gray, the darkness of black, and the highlight of white, I have endeavored to capture the essence of my subject matter on paper with pencil and eraser. I am thankful you have given me some time to show you what I accomplished…
